Spring Equinox and Weeble Wobbles

Tomorrow morning is the Spring Equinox, when the tilt of the Earth's axis is inclined neither away from nor towards the Sun, the center of the Sun being in the same plane as the Earth's equator.  On this day, the length of sunlight and darkness are about equal.  This is a good time for us to sit for a spell and contemplate balance in our lives.  Remember that balance is not stasis; sometimes we have to shift our direction and move out of balance to achieve balance.  Think of life as a "weeble wobble".  I remember the commercials from my youth, "Weebles wobble but they don't fall down."  Sometimes we need a reminder that we're out of balance so that we can swing back toward the center.  And, often, we swing just a bit farther to the opposite direction than we had intended.  But with each swing, we come closer to center.  And, this applies to all aspects of our life.  If, for example, I have been overeating and thus became overweight, I must then eat less than my body's base requirements until the fat has been burned off.  Likewise, if I am working too many hours, I may need a vacation to regain inner balance.  Applying too much force in any area may result in a "spring" back in the opposite direction.  Whether you are aware of it or not, life is about balance.  And balance does not imply being still, rather balance implies forces set in motion.
